The Chinese Crested Dog
Sweet and playful, the Chinese Crested is perfect for apartment living.

Although no longer found in China, these hairless dogs have been found in Central and South American for over 500 years.
They are the smallest of the hairless breeds and are very nimble with a prancing gait.

The skin of the Chinese Crested is smooth, fine to the touch and odorless. This dog is hairless except for a fringe on the head, ears and tail. His skin may feel warm to the touch but is no warmer than a dog with a coat.
The temperament of the Chinese Crested is playful, entertaining and gentle. Always alert, this dog craves constant attention and will become very attached to it’s master and may have difficulty adjusting to a new one.
This dog requires a walk or play time. Do not overfeed this dog or he will become overweight. He is perfect for Condo or apartment living. He does not make a good watch dog.
This dog have problems with eye and skin conditions so regular maintenance is a must. Keep a vigil eye open for any problems.
Males can grow between 9 to 13 inches at the shoulder and up to 12 pounds.
