The Maltese dog is probably the oldest European dog dating back 3,000 years. It can be seen in ancient paintings and tapestries.

This little dog with it’s snow white silky coat has a wonderful temperament and is very affectionate. It needs a little exercise and play.

The Maltese dog is a good for people with allergies

He is easy to train and has very good nature. Not good with children it can be snappy if handled too roughly. Lively and always alert, it will bark at strange noises.

There are two Maltese living down the hall from me and every time my Westie goes by they spring into action and bark until we are well past.

Daily grooming is essential and I mean it. Their silky coat can become tangled very easily but is beautiful when properly groomed on a regular basis.

Do not over feed this little dog because it can become quite fussy.

This dog ranges in size from 8 to 10 inches as the shoulder and weighs 6 to 10 pounds.
