The Breed Allergy List

The Shibu Inu is determined and feisty and will not back down. He may back up and consider the possibilities but he will come back for more. Do you have a lot of spirit? Because this dog needs his walks and excitement or he will get bored.
The color of his coat is somewhere between tan and a wonderful dove color. His tail is always curved except when he sleeps! Isn't that interesting?
It lays on his back like a fine ladies chignon and he is just the most beautiful dog with his liquid brown eyes and white paws.
The Shiba-Inu is from Japan and is the smallest of the Japanese breeds. He was originally bred for hunting in the dense undergrowth of Japan's mountains.
He is very alert and agile and very intelligent. You won't get the best of him.
He makes a wonderful companion and watch dog.
World War II almost saw the demise of the Shiba-Inu because of bombings, starvation and distemper but was brought back when bloodlines were combined to the breed we today. I wonder what the dog was like before the war almost wiped him out.
This dog is loyal and affectionate to the alpha member of the family. You have to earn his respect. You must train him and exercise him regularly. If you live a sedentary lifestyle then this is not the dog for you because he will test you and probably rip the sofa apart if not given enough attention and exercise. This dog At times can be aggressive toward other dogs so beware and be in control.
Remember he was bred as a hunting dog and that never really leaves the dogs personality.
