The Irish Water Spaniel dog is very alert and inquisitive.

The tallest of the spaniels, the Irish Water Spaniel is unusually good for allergy sufferers since it has little dandruff and is non shedding.  Asthma sufferers are seldom allergic to this dog.

 

Irish Water Spaniels dogs are often reserved with strangers. 

You must train the Irish Water Spaniel dog well because if not, aggressive behavior and excessive shyness might develop.

This Irish Water Spaniel dog needs a stable environment but is a great dog for people with allergies to dogs.

This ancient Spaniel has been in England since the late s and have been known as Shannon Spaniels,  Rattail Spaniels or Whip-Tail Spaniels.

The Irish Water Spaniel is smart, strongly built sporting dog. A very intelligent dog is combined with rugged endurance and a bold, dashing eagerness of temperament. Characteristics are a topknot of long, loose curls, a body covered with a dense, crisply curled coat.

The Irish Water Spaniel is a dog of medium length, slightly rectangular in appearance. He is well balanced and are 2 to 2 inches tall at the shoulder.  They weigh 5 to 5 pounds
